Photoshop CS6: crash using content aware fill

Just downloaded LR4 and PS6 from discs purchased from Adobe and already discovered a problem.
I loaded 26 images into layers with in intention of Stacking them...selected all and did "auto alligh" and 'auto blend' without difficulity then "flattened image"

As usual there were some white areas around the borders which I selected using the rectangle marque tool then used "content aware fill' to fill those white patches.
R, L, and Top edges (5-10 pixels) went as usual and filled nicely. However, every time I selected the bottom row of about 8 pixels and applied CA fill...CS6 desides to shut down/ warning, no nothing...just turns itselt off.

I reopen CS6 and it automatically pulls the image back to the point right before the "flatten image" process and I repeat the above repairs in a different order and again when I select the bottom 8 pixel row and apply fill, it shuts down.
Four times I repeat the process and four time it shuts down.

BTW...using a Windows7 machine with 9 of RAM.
