Not a new topic just haven't got a solution from the Adobe Family Team, so here we go again!
Map Module crashes every time on L/R4.4 even after re-installing. L/R with a new catalog.
I am using WIN7 SP1 64-BIT

The chat people have a fixed process, don't fight it, it just slows you down.
They have a list of things to do.
If that fails, the escalate you to a Technical Expert.
If that fails they escalate you to a Product Expert.
If that fails they escalate you to a phone call and/or an email.
Apparently someone is assigned the case who is busy and researches the problem.
I waited several days for the phone call.
My problem was solved at this level.

What was so frustrating about my case is that I knew the font was missing because of Adobe Reader problems.
Lightroom 5.3 RC and earlier releases didn't care about the missing font.

Paul: I had bought L/R4 since a year ago but about 3 weeks now the Map Module was crashing every time, so I have installed the Trial version 5.3, but the problem with the map module is still there before I purchase the 5.3 I would like y=to know if it is a Lightroom issue or windows7 SP 1 64-BIT
Paul: i CAN SEND YOU MY lightroom retail serial number from my DVD
Paul: From my Lighroom 4 version
Neha: I see that Lightroom 4 is much compatible with windows 7. There shouldn't be any problem.
Paul: Yes but as I said the problem persisted that that is way since I didn't get any help installed L/R 5.3
Paul: Can you fix the problem so I can move on and purchase L/R 5.3 or do I have to buy before you can fix this issue with only the Map view
Paul: Because if you can I can buy right away
Neha: I am sorry that we are unable to give you support on LR4. i suggest you to please purchase the latest version LR 5.
Paul: Are you saying that once I pay the problem will be solved ?
Neha: I'll be right with you.
Paul: thank you
Neha: Paul, I truly understand your concern.
Neha: I can suggest you to purchase the newer version or I can refer you the forum to visit.
Paul: I did as I said I have the L/R 5.3 which is the last version and I have been to the forum
Neha: Let me check.
Neha: May I know from where did you purchase the product?
Paul: from you
Neha: May I have the serial number please?
Paul: If I had a serial number would it be a trial version?
Neha: Just to confirm, do you have the trial version or paid version?
Paul: I want to buy the paid version (even now) but my question is if I bay it will my problem be solved or will I still have to contact the technical department?
Neha: Do you have any issues with LR 5.3 trial version?
Paul: Yes I have this is the point as I have been trying to say it is not a matter of money (79$) it is a technical problem. But if you say that if I buy the paid version and every thing will be working well I can do it right away but stay on line please.
