Elements 13: Having permissions problems on my system

1) Once installed, the program asks EVERY SINGLE TIME I start (when it will start) what country I am in. I have taken to just choosing one. This bs should have been taken care of BEFORE PSE 13 was released.

2) I spend almost an hour installing the program. It works fine for a couple of days then I get an error stating that I don't have permission/authorization to use the program. I am the ONLY USER with FULL ADMINISTRATOR privileges. I HAVE PERMISSION TO USE MY OWN MACHINE. The only cure for this error seems to be to UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL to program. I have a full PAID FOR COPY and am installing from the program disk. Can't use a program I paid for.

My recommendation is STAY AWAY from this GARBAGE version of PSE.

That sounds like you have a permissions problem on your system, so Elements is unable to save its region information, and possibly preferences or licensing information.

While you may be the admin with the current user, there may be damaged/incorrect permissions with the current user. Try creating a new Admin user account and run Photoshop from the new user account to see if the problem goes away: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Still garbage. When to the trouble to set up another user account and the program still wouldn't work correctly. Finally re-loaded the program and verified the license, then went into Windows Firewall with Advanced Security and DENIED any further access for this program. This problem is just another example of the sloppy programing by Adobe. I'm paying for a program and associated updates which I can't have because of Adobe errors. Pitiful.
