Managing User Templates

I've been creating templates for Instagram. I can create and save the PSDT files, and when I use them, they show up in the 'Recents' section of the File New dialog. But then, so do templates I have abandoned or older version of templates developed further. I find no way to remove the templates that are 'obsolete from this dialog. Even the .PSDT files I have deleted show up there. I suggest having the ability to place these files in a user templates folder similar to other PS Presets (and maybe some file management tools in the New dialog, at least a delete option to remove them from the dialog!)

I've been begging for user control over the Recents, or at the very least, a place for templates that we can add to and subtract from, for a very long time. I know plenty of other people want this, too. Here's hoping this time around there will be enough votes someone at Adobe pays attention. I thought when they were offering free templates with the new New Document dialog, they'd see the light, but so far. . .

On another post regarding a similar template issue, it was suggested that user templates be added to the Adobe Libraries panel. BUT ... the Libraries panel only allows files with specific extensions, and PSDT is not one of them! That would seem easy to fix!  Can this become a JDI item?
