Manage Smart Collections

I now have several hundred Smart Collections, and I'm beginning to lose control of the management of it.

I've built many admin based libraries for no location, no keyword, camera type etc.

I know that in some, I have used (in error) similar but different terms eg "Contains All" and "Is".

Ideally, I'd like to print a list of all collections AND their rules, so I can ensure that I can check where I want similar collections to be selecting on exactly the same basis, and also weed out the duplicates

This is a good idea.

But while waiting for Adobe to implement it (which very possibly will be never), you might consider changing your workflow to simplify things significantly.  (When in Rome...)

For example, if you have a separate smart collection for each type of camera, you could replace those with a single Library filter preset that opens the Metadata browser with the Camera column.

A lot of people have duplicated smart collections for multiple collections or folders, hardwiring the collection or folder name into the rules, because LR doesn't make it easy to restrict a smart collection on the fly to the current folder or collection.   Using filter presets instead of smart collections would eliminate all of these duplicates.

I like the idea of that. As it happens, I do have a Camera Type series of Collections, and I don't think I've ever used it, as I do use a Library preset for that purpose.

Slightly frighteningly, I discovered that I have a total of 34 Collections (Whole catalog and temp working collection) just for Camera!

I have just deleted all 34. I will then see if I can find other collections where I can do the same job in an easier fashion.

I also have your own AnyFilter which I see I bought in 2012! I have rarely used it as it should be used. I need to have another look at the manual!

Thanks
