Lightroom is not part of the Creative Suite. Maybe some day it'll have its own subscription.

An upgrade for LR is relatively cheap, so maybe a less-than-$10 a month isn't worth Adobe's effort to create a subscription for LR, yet.

Do you use LR intermittently where it'd be much cheaper to only pay for the months you use, or is there something else about LR that makes it desirable to have a subscription?

I've just dived into Photoshop having used other programs. Still a newbie in digital photography so learning how to use CS6 on Adobe website using training videos. There I see strong recommendations to use LR vs. Bridge if photography vs. DTP is your main interest. Sounds like Adobe is pushing LR. All well and good - so why not offer a CS6 Photoshop + Lightroom bundle?

Adobe indicated as long ago as November 2011 that Lightroom will be in the Creative Cloud subscription and have recently said "soon"

Now that Lightroom is part of Creative Cloud (announcement today) when can we expect to see it offered on subscription?
