Hello,

I am a photoshop user and i desperatly need to use the overlay preview in masking. This can be done on english keyboard with the \ shortcut.

But it does not work with french keyboard, photoshop tells me I should do CTRL + \ but, on a french keyboard, we have to press ALT GR to make the \, and photoshop does not recognize CTRL + ALT GR + \

I know this can be done manually in the "channel" tab but I want to do it fast with a shortcut.

So please, can you make this shortcut assignable ?

Thank you, I did not find those threads using the search function!

I guess it's a recurring issue, and an important one that should be fixed so every user around the world can use photoshop shortcuts easily.

Is that command anywhere in the menu's or is it just completely hidden?

If it were in a menu, then we could at least use action>insert menu item to create a kbsc/

UPDATE : This issue is happening when you install Photoshop is english language on a non english keyboard.

Example : I have photoshop installed at work on a computer in ENGLIGH language. All menus are in english. And some shortkeys don't work because... French keyboard.

At home, I have Photoshop installed in FRENCH language. Shortcuts work, rubylith preview included by pressing & key.

That doesn't mean we should not be able to edit all shortkeys. Some people actually prefer to have Photoshop installed in ENGLISH to follow online tutorial and courses easier, which for the vast majority are in english!
