Major performance loss in Photoshop CC 2014

I just installed Photoshop CC 2014, opened up a file (30MB, 1280x2800px) and Photoshop is just barely usable. Actually, calling it usable would be to generous because every action takes a solid 3-6 seconds to perform and I'm not taking about applying filter, I mean just about any action at all like panning, hiding/show grid, zooming. I opened the file again in PS CC and it works fine there...

Things I've tried:

Clearing history
Removing hidden layers
Turning of smart guides and all other overlays (grids etc)
Tweaking performance options
Closing down all other applications

I'm using a MacBook Pro Retina with a 2,4GHz i7, GT 650M 1GB and 8GB RAM running OSX 10.9.4

Does your file have any (or many) text layers?

I'd guess that the file contains 1000-ish layers in total (both text layers and shape layers). Very few images, most graphics are made as shapes (icons, backgrounds etc). I tried opening the same file on another computer (MacBook Air 1,3GHz i5) with PS CC 2014 and I get the same slowdown. I then tried opening it with PS CC and it works fine, just like on my MBPr.

I've experienced similar issues as well with CC2014. I've also tried some of the same performance changes you mentioned above, as well as turing off large layer thumb. previews and no luck...

Sluggish when trying to move multiple layers around.

The known causes of slowdowns were fixed in Photoshop CC 2014.1 (15.1).
