Lightroom: Does tethering with Nikon on MacOS 10.12 Sierra work?

Last year, I had issues to tether mi Nikon with El Capitan. Apple has release the fourth beta of Sierra, want to know if someone has tested the tethering with Nikon Cameras.

I don't want to update to Sierra and get the surprise of a non-working tethering, like I and a bunch of people had the last year.

Hello,
Lightroom is not officially supported on Sierra. I would suggest you to wait for an update from Adobe.

Thanks,
Sunil

Lightroom 6.7 is supported on Sierra. It supports tethering too.

Thanks,

With either the release of MacOS 10.12.4 OR the Last two releases of LR LRCC2015.9/LR6.9 and LRCC2015.10/LR6.10, Tethering has stopped working for my D810  The image capture detects the camera and the Default app is Adobe Lightroom.  With the camera on and connected, LR reports "No Camera Detected"    Others with LR LRCC2015.9/LR6.9 and a D750 are reporting this too.

Are you also working with the Mac OS? What is your Lightroom version? We have not faced this issue in our internal testing. Please confirm if the problem persists.

Thanks,
Sunil

I am having the same problem. Trying to shoot tethered to Nikon D750 shows as no camera detected with either of my Macs; 1) MacBook Pro OS X 10.10.5 using either Lightroom 5 or Lightroom CC, (latest version) and 2) iMac OS X 10.13.3 with latest version of Lightroom CC. I should note that the camera shows in the system finder and I can see images that are on the memory card in the camera, but when I select shoot tethered, Lightroom tells me there is no camera connected.

I'm shooting the D750 tethered on El Capitan, but I haven't updated LR Classic  (which I assume you're talking about because LR CC in the Cloud doesn't tether).  I was waiting for someone with my camera to report on the latest and tethering. What happens if you install an older version? If that still doesn't let you shoot tethered, I'd think it probably isn't Lightroom.

It just gets more bizarre from here. I now have it where the MacBook Pro recognizes the memory card in the camera as an external hard drive, and Lightroom will allow me to import from the card inside the camera but when I go to shoot tethered, it says that there is no device detected. After repeatedly upgrading everything on the iMac, the neither does the operating system show the card inside nor does Lightroom let me import from the card, but I can shoot tethered. I'm confused but at least I can shoot tethered, now... on one computer.

I'm confused now, too.<G>

At least you seem to have it covered if you jump between computers—one for memory card and one for tethered.
