I have the new photos app in my iMac and according to Apple, the new PHOTOS can't export to Lightroom. iPhoto was able to but not PHOTOS. How do I use Lightroom 5 now?

Claire,

I guess the question I would have is why do your photos need to be in the new Photos app?

You have Lightroom. Why not use it instead. It is far more powerful.

If you have iPads and/or iPhone as I do, as well as proper cameras, the Photos App is a convenient way of collecting them all into your Mac from where you may want to export the more interesting ones into your Lightroom system.

Lightroom Mobile works well for integrating all your device-captured photos with your Lightroom catalog.

I will check out Lightroom Mobile. thanks, I really don't like the MAC photos app & I went back to using IPhoto since I could do a direct link to Lightroom that I can't do with Photos . I also need to Watermark certain photos and iPhoto nor Photos can do that either....useless! that's why I love Lightroom 5 !
