Kernel Panic when saving files from Desktop to server.

Raster files of all sizes, from under 1 MB to PSBs, have the potential to crash my machine when I am moving the files from my desktop to the remote server. Not always but relatively frequently. Here is crash report generated from one of these occasions. Running CS6 on the machine. Hopefully you have some suggestions for me.

A system hang or freeze requiring a computer restart usually means a low level failure such as a driver (bad video card driver, etc), failing hardware (hard disk, video card, etc.) or damaged OS installation.

Photoshop Cc was crashing constantly since June. Apple said it was Adobe, Adobe said Apple, Apple tested the Mac and said it was OK. OSS High Sierra made it worse. I ended up getting a new Mac, the old one is now seven years old. NOW it works fine. The old Mac also works fine with everything except photoshop.

You have two wildcards in there. Sophos and your file server. The crash is in Apples SMB implementation.

My advice is to disable Sophos and work off your local hard drive. If that doesn’t have problems, copy files instead of opening them off the server.
