LRCC: New auto tone too flat (for me)

In principle I don't like to auto tone images but it can be useful in a bunch of family photos that don't need to be spot on. However the new auto tone in LRCC, for me, creates rather flat images with an almost HDR look about them. I mostly then add more contrast and more black/white to get what I want.

What would be really cool is, with all the so called intelligent machine learning, if it could learn what I usually do after applying the auto tone and start adjusting the 'flavour' of the auto tone to better suit my taste.

If that's a step too far then maybe a high contrast/low contrast preference/choice on the auto tone.

The AUTO output makes HDR results of high contrast images all to often. Not my cup of tea at all.
