LR/PS/ACR is slow when processing Olympus ORFs. Compared to other raw formats, ACR takes 40-50% longer to render/process Olympus ORF format files of the same resolution.

For example, to import and render 1:1 previews of 10 16MP ORFs in LR 5.3 (default development settings) takes 42 seconds. For 10 16MP RW2s of the same scene, it needs only 30 seconds. For 10 16MP NEFs, it can do it in 28 seconds.

Hello, I have a wild guess, there could be some geometric distortion on the files that ACRs fixes "silently"?

I don't think so - ACR also silently fixes distortion in the RW2 files (Panasonic m4/3) and those are still much faster, as noted above. In addition, using lenses that are not corrected (e.g. adapted manual lenses) doesn't speed up the process.
