In Lr 3.5 (win) the Ricoh GR 28mm lens doesn't seem to be available. I've checked both jpeg and dng raw files from this camera but Lr isn't able to find the profile automatically and it isn't available from manual select...

Has this profile disappeared or what's going on??

Bear in mind that you can make your own profile, or see if someone else has made a profile using the Adobe Lens Profile Creator (and friends.)

Hi John, I know but this lens should be included according to the supported lenses list: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/846/cpsid_84...

Question: How does one discover that lens profiles are missing?
Answer: One notices there is no lens profile assigned in the Lens Correction section of Develop module, despite profile corrections being enabled.

Otherwise there is no indication - no way to check.

I'd like to suggest that lens profile verification be one of the items Lightroom checks when running a manual check for "missing photos" or other problems, maybe even as an option to give all photos a "once over" when Lightroom first starts up - leisurely in the background (checking for cam-cal profiles too...).

Apologies - apparently a profile was never made for this lens. There was a mix up in communication, and I'll change the knowledgebase doc today.

Hi Tina, thanks for checking. Unfortunately not the result I hoped for as you probably can imagine. I hope Ricoh camera and lenses will be included in future profile releases.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Lens correction profile for Ricoh GR 28mm F2.5.

Why does the lens correction profile "GXR, GR LENS A12 28mm F2.5, 3.5/6.5", listed under Pentax, doesn’t show up in lightroom 5.4? In the answer to another question two years ago, an Adobe employee says the profile is listed by mistake. But it’s still in the list.

I'll check with Tina.

If you weren't aware already, you can create your own lens profiles with the Adobe Lens Profile Creator:

http://www.adobe.com/products/photosh...

Or you can download user-contributed profiled lenses through the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader from the same page.

Installation of the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader failed. "Problem with the certificate" (Mac-Version). Any idea?
