This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Lightroom: Keyboard Shortcuts for Basic Tone and Color Adjustments

The keyboard shortcuts is a huge time saver in Lightroom, so besides doing your own (that fits your style better), it'd be awesome to also be able to assign keyboard short cuts to Develop sliders as well as for popular presets.

Please pretty please, like my idea! :)

I'm regularly asked about shortcuts for presets and custom shortcuts for sliders. Many users, particularly those aiming for high volume speed, don't want to have to keep switching to a mouse for those controls.

There are custom keyboards available for Lightroom, but they do have a few issues - whether that be response speed, having to set up the interface in a particular way, or simply the fact that each Lightroom update risks breaking the links that they use.

Plus those keyboards are absolute highway-robbery! 3-times the cost of Lightroom for a simple 58-key keyboard is nuts.

I'm ALWAYS slowed down significantly by a lack of keyboard flexibility but I refuse to pay that much for a third-party kludge.

For example, +/- Brightness shortcut would be heaven. Also, crop to 4x5. I need>>>

check out paddy - www.paddy-for-lightroom.com . all you ask for plus Midi, support for that 58 key keyboard if you have it, and other support (WIndows only though, unfortunately). And it's free, so while there is risk for update issues, not that big a deal.

Thanks Henning, but I'm on a Mac, and I think it should be a LR feature natively. :)

Thanks for the link to Paddy, it looks great, but like Petra, I'm on a Mac. It should be a LR feature natively.

This is the same essentially as another thread by a similar name "keyboard shortcuts for basic tone and color adjustments in lightroom", it would be nice if they could be merged, or if people would be sure to vote for both ideas!
