I am unable to tether my Nikon d7100 to Lightroom 5.3. LR reports no camera found. I am able using the same Nikon supplied cable, to tether my camera to my computer using Sofortbild. I am running Mavericks and the firmware on my camera is up to date. I went to http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/t... and followed exactly each of the steps outlined, except the last step, which did not resolve the problem. I did not follow the last step because I can't - it directs the user to contact Adobe Customer service which as far as I can tell is impossible. Has anyone else encounter this and if so, do you have a solution

Thanks

Steve

I had the same problem. But I found that after I updated to firmware version 1.01 it fixed it (https://nikoneurope-en.custhelp.com/a...).

Just discovered that if the installed memory card on the camera has a good number of photos on it you can run into a delay issue. LightRoom will take some time scanning the card before it tells you that the camera is detected in the tether screen. You can tell it's scanning the card, because the "drive busy" green light on the back of the D7100 will be lit or blinking rapidly.... hope this helps, I'm sure glad I figured out I needed to be more patient :)
