After updating from 5.0 still same issue while importing RAWs from SD card!

Note: iMac 11.3, OSX 10.8.5, LR catalog based on local disk (SSD) and image repository on AFP attached file server (Synology DSM v4.3).

See: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/126401... for further information.

When will this be fixed?

Update:

Today LR hung again while importing (spinning beach ball of death). But now I'm a bit closer to the possible cause. My Synology Fileserver was setuped to run a conversion job on images in the same directory as my LR repository (assuming for Synology Photo Station). It started with a delay, so 120th image import finished with success until LR hung up.

After disabeling this conversion job on the Fileserver and cold-restarting my iMac (Finder hung such, no possibility to reboot), I could import the remaining images of 150 with no problem!

I assume the hangup has something to do with the increased latency (performance drop) of the Fileserver as the Synology conversion job started. Why LR hangs and after killing it, then Finder hung, should be investigated!

Note: LR 5.3, iMac 11.3, OSX 10.8.5., Synology DS710+, DSM 5.0-4458-U1, two 5.4k RPM Disks. 1Gbs network infrastructure.
