LR 4 bugs

These are the bugs I have found in LR4 thus far

Consistent with LR3 - my left mouse button becomes disabled after about 30 minutes of using LR. This is on 2 separate machines both running Win 7 64-bit. I'm not going into details. After more than 18 months complaining about this issue, I give up and will continue to live with it.

When I now select 'view by label colour' in 'Library', what I get is a mish mash of coloured (selected) images and those that are not. This is a serious issue for me as I rely on coloured selections to finish my work-flow. My blues are inter-mingled with my reds which is NOT what this used to do.

There is STILL no keyboard shortcut (usually a number) associated with colour selection 'purple'

I'm really hoping someone has a solution for the colour selection bug. I arrange my edited images according to their colours and it has worked perfectly in all LR releaeses except this one. It has meant retiring LR4 and returning to LR3 for me until the issue is fixed or some workaround can be provided.

Appreciate any help/ideas.

Cheers

It's best to break these up into separate issues, otherwise the threads get confused.

As for the mouse problem, I suspect your two machines (are we talking about physical machines here, or virtual machines?) are clones of each-other to some extent, and there is a driver interaction that is exposing this problem. We see that all the time in a cloned environment, where a strange symptom is persisted across many disparate systems.

Strange problems like this are hard to pinpoint, and nearly impossible to solve remotely, especially if it cannot be reproduced at will by someone else.

As for the label issue, I suspect the Library is sorting by date on the filtered view. Which is /probably/ just as desirable for some people (it is for me -- I'd consider the opposite behaviour a usability bug.) The real solution is to be able to sort by something other than date. This might already be possible, but I don't recall all the sort options.

Good point, I'll repost this just as the sort by colour issue.

cheers John.

Thanks for breaking these out. It's hard to deal with laundry lists of issues or ideas.
