LR 3 camera support

I am a happy user of Lightroom since version 2, however, the upgrade to version 4 is rather disappointing. First no compatibility with XP. Now I have upgraded to W7, but LR is extremely slow, I prefer to use version 3. A lot of the new features I find useless, like the photobook with rather poor layout possibilities, I prefer to choose the supplier myself. Also I know, where I have been, I don't need any location support. So I have to stick with LR3.
Now the biggest problem: I have bought a Nikon1 V2. How can I use its RAW data? I find it a real pity that Adobe does not update LR 3 any more with support for new cameras. I have wasted a lot of time trying to use Camera Raw plug-in, but it does not seem to work.
It would be extremely helpful, if you could provide an update possibility for new cameras.
