Using the spot removal/healing brush I frequently need to use the '/' key to select new source. (also because of this issue http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh... ).

Using a german layouted keyboard where the '/' is accessed via 'shift'+'7' this doesn't work. The use of the 'shoft lock' key + '7' works as a workaround but interferes and makes troubles with other shortkeys.

So there should be a shortkey concept for all language and keyboard layout options.

No way to hack a resolution by editing TranslatedStrings.txt?

See "resources" folder in with program files.

PS - I realize you'd prefer a solution which does not involve doing such things.

Thanks for your suggestion, Rob. I don't have problems to hack resource files. But in this case I simply don't know what to change:
There is no resource key in the TranslatedStrings.txt which is named like "Toggle Healing Mode Source". This Key isn't even mentioned in the Shortcut list in the Help menu.
So do you know the exact name of the key I would have to change?

This keyboard shortcut seems to be missing from the internationalization and cannot be changed for different languages (which I would consider a bug if this is true).

See here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5475085

Workarounds are the caps lock as you already mentioned, and a keyboard shortcut for the context menu (described in the other thread).

Thank you for your detailed comment.
So please Adobe engineers make there at least an entry in the TranslatedStrings.txt to be customized for international keyboard layouts!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Lightroom 5 keyboard shortcuts on foreign language keyboards.

Lightroom 5 continues to have the same eternal problems with certain keyboard shortcuts that only work on English keyboards, like [ ] (for brush size), \ for "before" view, cntrl = for zoom, etc., etc. Please add a keyboard mapper function!
