Lightroom: LR5 hangs and can't import files (Win)

When I tried to import via LR5 from a card reader to external drive I got message "the disc "J" you are importing to is low on space" so I tried importing to another external drive but still get the same message.

Now whenever I try to either import to a different disc or just add to my catalogue I get the same message disc "J", it has hung up. How do I get rid of this message and start importing again?

What's stored on the J drive? Catalog, perhaps?

Thank you For your reply Victoria, yes the catalogue is on the J drive and as soon as I realised that and copied it to my K drive it solved the problem. It took a few days to fathom it out.

I did post this answer last week in the forum.
