LR5.3 export Server Busy

I'm using Lightroom 5.3 and during the export process, I it asks me which folder to export photos into. I click on "New Folder" to create a destination, and I get the "Server Busy" message.

Clicking on "Switch To" brings up the start menu (or metro). Clicking on "Retry" just brings up the same dialog box, until about 3 minutes is up, then it actually works. "Cancel" is grayed out and I cannot click on it.

Funny thing is that during that 3 minutes, I can open Windows Explorer, and create a folder in the same location as above, and it works just fine. I just cannot create it from lightroom. I have not replicated this problem in any other applications.
