LR5.2 does not start after update from LR4.4

I have updated one week ago from LR4.4 to LR5.2 and had problems to start the program. Had a chat with support and I managed to start it: it was some rights issue. Unfortunately, the transcript of this talk was not sent to my mail so I do not know what he did exactly. I was able to convert the LR4 catalog into a LR5 version.

Anyhow, LR5.2 is today NOT working again. When I try to start it, it shows the new splash screen but it stops there, I cannot work with it normally. I can see it tries to open the catalog, as I can see the xxx.lrcat.lock file.

I am running Windows7 on i5 with 16GB RAM with the latest software updates.

I tried the FAQ and created a new admin account and LR5.2 worked fine, it opened and could import some pictures in a catalog. So again, it looks like an account issue...
How can I fix this?

Matter solved after resetting the LR5.2 prefs. Thank you for the support team that helped me solve this.
