A glitch that causes LR to shift modes from Library to Develop when using the Cntrl key (in Windows) to select images in "survey view" seems to have been around since LR1 and doesn't appear to have been fixed in LR4.1 RC.

Does anyone know if it's beeing dealt with in LR 4.1?

Can you describe exactly the steps you are taking when this happens. I cannot duplicate it.

Where do you click, click next, etc?

Thank you Rikk

It's frustrating me because it's not consistent. I have just had it happen after 2 clicks, and also not at all after 6 clicks.

Basically, Library module; survey view; holding down Cntrl; left click thumbnail on image (not border). Module jumps into Develop - with crop tool open.

Are you by accident clicking on one of the badges in the Filmstrip thumbnails?

I'm glad you can't see me - beacuse I'm very red faced at the moment.

That solves it I think, Rikk. If Only I'd asked about it 3 versions ago!

Thanks again.

It is actually quite a common issue. Bite me once or twice, truth be told. Some people just turn off the badges because they hit them by accident.

But, if you never ask the question you will never get the answer...

If you want to deselect images in Survey, you can control-click the actual (big) images, not the filmstrip.
