LR4 Develop Module - selecting preset does not take effect

There has been more than a few times when I am in the Develop module and move to a new photo where clicking on a simple saved preset (example: set exposure to +0.33) but LR does nothing. If I go an adjust the image crop or something else using a slider, then click the same preset, it then takes effect. Extremely annoying.

I have even installed LR 4.1RC2; the same thing happens there too.

It is not any particular preset, it happens with all of them; but is only the first preset I click on when I start working with a photo. It does not always happen, but happens often enough to be annoying. Also, what makes it worse is that the preset on the left does get highlighted as if it was applied but when you look at the image and the sliders on the right, nothing changed.

I agree this should be considered a bug.

One workaround is to edit presets (using text editor) and change settings for presets to be applied to PV2012 photos to be correct. Here is a comprehensive list, for photos (not video).

AutoLateralCA = 0,
Blacks2012 = 0,
Clarity2012 = 0,
Contrast2012 = 0,
DefringeGreenAmount = 0,
DefringeGreenHueHi = 60,
DefringeGreenHueLo = 40,
DefringePurpleAmount = 0,
DefringePurpleHueHi = 70,
DefringePurpleHudeLo = 30,
Exposure2012 = 0,
Highlights2012 = 0,
Shadows2012 = 0,
ToneCurveName2012 = "Linear",
ToneCurvePV2012 = {--table: 6
ToneCurvePV2012Blue = {--table: 5
ToneCurvePV2012Green = {--table: 3
ToneCurvePV2012Red = {--table: 2
Whites2012 = 0,

(ignore the '=0,' part)

For example, I don't think Lightroom will have any problem assigning a preset with "Exposure2012" to a PV2012 photo (exposure-wise I mean), but it might have a problem assigning a preset with "Exposure" to a PV2012 photo.

Note: Presets so edited will no longer work on legacy photos (PV2003/10).
