Lightroom: Adjustments lost when opening Raw file with "Edit in Photoshop" command

LR4.1 sometimes loses the LR settings when opening the file in Photoshop CS 5 with the command "Edit in". If the image in LR is a DNG file, LR does not open the dialogue box with the different alternatives, but opens the file directly in Photoshop. Most often the LR settings have been lost. Sometimes not.

If I export the DNG as a TIFF, and open the TIFF from LR to Photoshop CS5 with the command "Edit in", LR 4.1 behaves as it should.

I use Windows 7.

There should be no "edit-in alternatives" dialog box when editing Raw or DNG in Photoshop, so that is normal.

Losing the settings can be caused by an incompatible ACR version in Photoshop, if you are using Process 2012 in Lightroom. Do you have ACR 6.7 RC installed? If not, go to preferences -> restore warning dialogs. At the next edit, a warning about incompatible ACR versions should appear. There, you have to choose "render using Lightroom".

The alternative is to install ACR 6.7RC in PS CS5, however I personally would not recommend it at present because there are still some rendering differences between LR 4.1 RC and ACR 6.7RC.

Adjustments made in Lightroom Beta4 not transferring to CS5 when using "Edit-In". Canon Raw CR2 image color adjustments are lost when using Edit In Photoshop CS5. Crop adjustments make the trip but most other image adjustments seem to be totally lost. The image that opens in CS5 looks nothing like the image i wish to transfer. I can't find any way to tell beta 4 that I want the adjustments to transfer. If I make NO adjustments in LR the image looks the same in CS5, But if I make adjustments in LR the images are different.

So, I'm having the same problem with the paid version that I was having with the beta. Other than the crop tool, no other adjustments come along with my images when I take them to CS4 Photoshop. In the Develop module I make what adjustments I want, then right click and select edit in cs4. When it opens in PS, none of the adjustments are there other than the crop. LR3 doesn't have that challenge. What am I missing?

Hi. When selecting "Edit in PS5" for an image I do not get the edit option box to select "Edit a Copy with Lightroom Settings" . This seems to have vanished in LR4. I would like to enable this. Right now I get a original file in PS5 without the option to select some other option. Please tell me what I am missing. Thanks.

When exporting photos from Lightroom 4 to Photoshop CS5 I do not get the dialogue box to select export options, mainly "export copy with Lightroom adjustments". Only the original file with none of the work I have done in Lightroom will export.

I recently upgraded from LR3 to LR4 and didn't have this issue before the upgrade.

Please let me know if you've had this issue and found a resolution.
