LR3 is stalling on me. LR2 did not do this. Crashing frequently, not a memory issue -- my fairly new iMac has plenty of room on the 1tb drive. Any suggestions?

In my experience, exports using FTP cause Lr3 to crash frequently. Other than that it only crashes occasionally. You may want to also contact Adobe tech support for this one.

I'm going to have to, I'm not using FTP for any exports from LR3... really having a tough time! It can't seem to manage any volume if images.

You may have already tried this, but if not already consider:

- Uninstalling Lightroom
- Delete preferences, previews, cache.
- Rename preset & catalog folders.
- Reinstall Lightroom
- Create a new catalog & import a few fresh photos.

If this works, then at least you know its possible for your computer & Lightroom to work together, then you can try reintroducing your presets, and opening your old catalog.

If this does not work, then your system / config is not playing nice with Lightroom for some reason - I'm not qualified to say why...

Also, try optimizing your catalog (maybe before all else) - sometimes this can shake out a problem.

How much RAM do you have?
And can you give us an idea of where/when it typically stalls out?
If it's in Develop, you might try closing the filmstrip to see if that helps.
