Can I get a refund on Lr5 Upgrade?

I purchased it, and now realize that it still doesn't recognize the NEF format from my D7100, as it is an upgrade and guess the guts are still Lr3.6. Guess I should of gotten the whole new version for almost double the price.

Have to use DNG converter, then Lr5 will only import from current location, and not give option of alternate location.

You didn't happen to use the Nikon NX Capture program to load your images on your hard drive first did you? There was a bug in NX Capture that caused this.

Lightroom upgrades are all Full Versions and not dependent upon the previous version for any code or settings.

My version of LR has no problems reading D7100 straight from the memory card.

Thanks for the post Rikk...

Nope, took the SD card and popped it into my desktop card reader, as I had done in the past. It could see the card, but recognize the format of the files. I then copied and then pasted onto the same HD...still same outcome. I had to use the DNG converter and go from there.

Try zotzing your preference file and see if that changes anything.
