LR2 in Mac OSX Lion gives me an error on renaming files: "The file named "IMG_0003.CR2" could not be renamed". When I attempt to rename a photo in LR2 with Mac OS 10.6.8 there are no problems. Please help!

"Please help! "

Don't use an unsupported OS.

Aileen, I suspect it has something to do with the permissions of the file/folder or drive where the file resides. Not having migrated to Lion yet I can't offer the solution however I'm sure if you Google Lion and permissions you will find a solution.

I agree. This sounds like a permissions issue. Fix the permissions on the affected files and you should be good to go:
