LR will not load catalog, says it is not writable and cannot be opened. I cannot find a .lock file that would prevent it to open.
LR will open other catalogs without problems.
Anyone can help me solve that please ?
Best regards, Paul

If there's no .lock file, it might be locked at the system level. Are you on Mac or Windows?

Paul,
Does the problem persist? We can take a look at the catalog.
Thanks,
Sunil

You haven't answered the question: Mac or Windows? And have you checked that the catalog folder itself has read/write permissions?

windows.
when I checked the directory, it was marked as read-only.
I use that catalog for 1,5 year now, why should it suddenly have no read/write permission ?

No idea why, but if setting it to Read & Write solved the problem, you'll know what to do next time it happens. :-)
