Lightroom Classic: Spot Healing Brush quality a disappointment

Lightroom spot healing brush is a huge disappointment . I was told on Facebook to post this here as the right people see these posts. Years ago the spot healing brush works so much better. Now oh, quite honestly it sucks. I am so disgusted wasting my time having to open up an image in Photoshop just to spot heal and transfer it back to Lightroom. What's the issue? Why did it go downhill? Can someone please fix this issue?

Works fine for me, I have a Sony so I use it ALL the time! They’re using AI to inform the selection, that’s what changed, and AI has to be trained.

Are you talking about Lightroom cloud or Lightroom Classic?

I hear a lot of frustration in your post but no information about what it is you're referring to.  If you are using LR Classic, exactly what is it that you think is inferior to what had been there in the past?   Perhaps you're in a different mode than you remember from the past?

As far as I can tell, and depending on how far back you go, it's pretty much the same.   When it started it was limited to a circle, now you can paint the healing with a brush.  I don't recall if the original version had both Clone and Heal modes but those too are available.

Hi Carol! From one user to another, I think you'll need to provide a bit more feedback on what the actual issue is beyond just "the spot healing brush ..., quite honestly it sucks." ;-)

Especially if you want someone to acknowledge & fix it. Do you have an example photo or screenshots of what you tried to do in LR and what you did in PS to get the better result?..

Hi Carol, please add in a few more details about the quality issues - for instance, if it is the clone/heal tool not working properly or the automatically detected heal source not being appropriate, etc. Thanks!
