LR shared galleries are missing too many things, inc. Open graph data and an acceptable URL

Here is the URL of a shared gallery I just created:

Is it nice? Human? Does it provide a nice experience? Is it semantic? Is it short? Does it carry a meaning? No, no, no, no no, no and no. It doesn't check any of the boxes of what something designed should have.

But that's ok if the URL carries the right data, to be nicely shared on social media... except is doesn't. That URL stays a long fat ugly URL and nothing else comes once pasted. Nothing, not a title, not an image, nothing. The poorest job ever achieved for a shared gallery.

And those sharing exist for years now. And those 2 issues have been reported to the beta team, to the LR team, and here now.

I don't even expect them to be addressed. that's a shame. Stop pretending that LR is something that works now, it's a vast app that is missing everything we need to really use it.

Just the fact that you have to bounce for the app to the web app to continue to design your shared gallery is making people's head explode.

If you use the Clipboard Icon to copy the link (top of shared photos grid) you get this:

If you wait and pull it from the Browser you get this:

It certainly answers your "Is it nice? Human? Does it provide a nice experience? Is it semantic? Is it short? Does it carry a meaning?"

When I paste this short URL into a social media site like Facebook I get this:

I get a title and an image when pasting the link into a Facebook Post.

I guess, I would like to see more precise information about what you are unable to do/see. Can you provide information?

You should be able to get a short url from the share and invite workflow when you create the shared album.
