LR needs more robust photomerge

I did see the new update today to LR which allows photomerge with HDR. Cool! But..... I still can't seem to merge many files in LR. More than 10 fails but I find 100% success in Photoshop with the same files. I'd love for

  1. Ability to tell LR and PS how many rows and columns I shot. I use a robotic pano head that is extremely precise. I think gigapan software has/had this feature.
  2. Use GPU to accelerate the merge. PS will sit there using ONE CORE for hours when I have 6 available cores. If PTGUI can, then PS can.
  3. In LR, I'd like the ability to assist the stitch when PS gives up the ghost and can't place an image in the pano.
  4. ADD PSB FILE SUPPORT TO LR
  5. ADD PSB FILE SUPPORT TO LR
  6. and finally, add PSB file support to LR. Editing panos via Smart Preview proxies would make life so much better. The destructive edits and lack of adjustment brushes in PS really limit my image editing.

Photoshop Big. It's for larger files. Many of my shots are 1000-3000 megapixels.

AND accuracy. I'll merge in LR with clear seams in the resulting merge, when merged in photoshop it's perfect.
