Lightroom Mobile: Unable to Collapse Segmented Views

When a segmented view of images in a collection is first expanded, by selecting the "+" symbol that indicates how many more images there are, it is not possible thereafter to collapse that expanded view.
At first, the "-" symbol shows for a few seconds and then it disappears permanently.

Greetings Stanley,

It is working for me here on iPad. What device are you using? Can you confirm your Lightroom for mobile version?

Hi Rikk

Thank you for your reply.

I am using an iPad 2 with LR Mobile version 2.3.3 installed.

Four screen shots are attached:

[1] About screen with LR Mobile for iPad version number 2.3.3

[2] Collection screen before click on "+" to expand a collection

[3] Interim - 2/3 second - screen with the "-" symbol [on the right in the second row] to collapse the view, but before it disappears permanently

[4] Collection screen without the "-" symbol and so the collection cannot be collapsed.

I hope that this information helps.

Regards, Stan

[2] Collections screen before "+" symbol expand view

[3] Interim 2/3/ second view with "-" symbol on the right in the second row to collapse the view

[4] Collections without the "-" to collapse the view

Update: I have tried this on an iPad Air also using LR for iPad version 2.3.3 and get the same results.
Once expanded, the collection view cannot collapsed.

I am not yet able to duplicate , Stanley-carl. I tested on iPad Air, iPad Pro and iPhone 6 in portrait and landscape. If you force quit all your apps, restart your iPad, does it still fail to give you a [ - ] symbol?

Wait a few seconds after you press the "+" symbol.
It disappears and then you can't see/find/locate it thereafter.

Ah, I see now. If you wait like 5 seconds, it disappears and doesn't come back - and there is no way to restore it. I wasn't waiting long enough for it to clear. Let me check with the team.

Yep, that's right and you're on to it now.
Thanks Rikk.

Ok, Stanley-Carl, it turns out there is a solution to your request. You can use an expand/pinch gesture to expand and contract a segment.  On an expanded segment place two fingers, spread vertically over the segment and pinch them together. It will contract the segment again.

Thank you Rikk for following up on this and for coming back with a solution too.
I confirm that this works at my end also.
Now, I hope that we are not the only two [besides the techies] that know about this gesture. ;-)

Expand/pinch gesture does not contract segment for me. It makes the image size smaller. What other solution is there? I'm having this same problem of contracting a segment once I've expanded it. Thanks!

Are you sure you're taking two fingers (thumb and finger) and placing them vertically, so one at the top of your iPhone screen, for example and one away from and directly below it, then bringing them together in the middle of the screen? It's working for me without difficulty.
