Lightroom Mobile: Has a few dead ends

There’s two things that always trip me up with LR Mobile:1) upon import from iOS camera roll, you can edit the photo but must exit then return to actually export/share. Why is this function not available?2) when taking photos, I can click on the thumb of most recent shot but that’s a dead end. Why can’t I jump into editing from that preview?? Why can’t I swipe left/right to see the shots that I’ve taken? Dead ends.

I was going to log a request for number two and kept putting it off because I thought, surely there must be a request already for this. I'm sure there must be some reason for it but none I can fathom. Sometimes I want to capture, do a quick edit and then send off somewhere.

I cannot replicate the behavior your describe in #1. Can you give me step by step instructions for reproducing?

It is generally a better idea to separate individual feature requests. Please review here for the why: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/getting-the-most-from-this-forum-feature-requests-ideas

Regarding item 2: That looks more like two separate requests - one for access to edit and one for access to swipe.

REPRO for 1):

  1. Open LR Mobile
  2. Click "Add" button
  3. Choose "From Camera Roll"
  4. Choose photo
  5. LR Mobile shows the photo with full edit functions
  6. There is a checkmark at the top left to signal "done"
  7. There is no option for Sharing or Saving.
  8. Save the photo to LR "Photos" catalog
9. Re-open photo to see the sharing options at the top
It's an extra several steps.

I'll make #2 a new entry. #2 concerns the blocking of edit/share/review from the photo mode. They are all related. iOS photos does it right: you take a pic and you can hit up the thumbnail to start editing the shot directly or swipe to see the shots just taken. LR Mobile abandons you at the current shot and makes you leave and return to the photo to edit it.

Ok. I see that now. I am guessing that is a courtesy edit so you can evaluate image potential prior to adding to the catalog. In any case it would fall into the realm as a feature request.

A+ I'm all for the checkmark to be up there to ADD the image and edits to the Catalog.
