Sometimes/often (down in the thumbs-stripe) ;  I strive far away to the left or right of the selected thumb.  Is there a shortcut to center the stripe back to the selected photo -in one hit, without search-scrolling (and be "afraid" to deselect it) ?

The easiest way to go back to your photo is to hit arrow key right (or left) and then arrow key left (or right).

Not good enough !

..But tremendously helpful of You, Thank You !
I had to try it to understand, and also to understand why we have to "undo" the "go to next" - since the arrow stands for just that.

Don't You agree though that a dedicated key would be usefully elegant (sometimes photos are very similar..) ?

Turn on the Navigation Arrows in the toolbar in develop mode (and/or Library Mode). When you click the left or write navigation arrow, the filmstrip new current image jumps to the center.

That's the same as directly with the hardware-keyboard, solution that was discussed just before :-)
Thank You though.
