I was trying to create a slide show and in the process LR created a copy of all pictures. How can I delete the copies only without going through the library and delete about 1500 copies manually?

sort by date created - that should give you them all in one block?

Unless I miss something, by default the slideshow that you created just references the pictures that you've included, it is just a light weight construction like the collections. It is the same as other Lightroom creations (books, web galleries).

What about using undo ? If you created digital copies of your files, this works if you do it immediately.

I bet you had the Create Virtual Copies checkbox checked when you saved the slideshow, so filtering for VC's would get you most of the way.

Hi Guys,
thanks for all your good advice. I have solved my problem by filtering all pictures with the words "Copy 1" and deleted these copies all at once.
