Lightroom Classic: Just fails

Updated 5 days ago, this POS app will barely load a set of files before freezing, over and over again. I can't believe that a company like Adobe is putting this out there. I have turned off all other apps and it still freezes on importing Canon raw files CR2's. Useless and I have a job to finish.
Now I will have to go to Capture One. Thanks, Adobe. LRClassic sucks!

I am sorry you are having problems, Rob. Since the update 7 days ago, we've had very few reports of this type of behavior. I suspect you have a bad install specific to your machine. Please follow the clean install procedure.

Clean Classic Install Procedure
  • Close Lightroom
  • Restart the computer
  • Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom Classic
  • Restart the computer
  • Install Lightroom Classic via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.
  • Restart the computer
  • Launch Lightroom
  • Wait 5 minutes

Another case of not understanding that your OS JUST MIGHT be the issue? Or is blaming Adobe just more fun? You don't even tell us, Mac or Windows?

Please post the amount of free space on the hard drive that your catalog is stored in. By % free. Needs to be 25% or better.

And where are you importing to? How free is that hard drive? By size in this case.
