LR Classic - Export - File Renaming by photo order

Hi there!

I'm using custom order to rearrange the
photos of a session. On export I'm applying watermarks but the export is done in two stages, one for portrait and one more for landscape. If I use rename by sequence, I don't have the custom order set in the exported files due to the dual export.

Is there any way to rename the photos on export by the custom order number?

The only thing I can think of is to rename the photos in the Library Module (select all of them and hit F2) and use the droplist in there to create a custom file name preset that includes the sequence number. NOTE: this actually changes the names of the raw photo files - so if you wish to keep the original sequence number assigned by your camera, ensure you include it in the custom file rename settings.

Once that's done, then you can export using just the filename without any export sequence variable, so it would use the sequence number embedded in the filename (rather than the custom sequence number based on the export setting). Does this make sense?..

Another workaround could be to export the whole batch twice.
In folder one, you delete all the portraits. In folder two, you delete all the landscapes.
Then, if you move them all to one folder, you shouldn't have any duplicates and your numbering is intact.

Can't really think of an official way to do this.
