Lightroom Classic: Blurb, macOS Catalina issue?

Hi - I uploaded a magazine from LR Classic v.9.1 to blurb a week or so ago. I use Catalina 10.15.3. My magazines arrived yesterday. Four images were missing 'picture text', i.e. the names of the person/people in the photograph. Blurb have taken me through various steps to see if it's a problem their end, but nothing was resolved. They have told me to take up the issue with Adobe - so here I am asking whether this is an unsolved bug? I have paid out £137 for ten copies of the magazine which are faulty and therefore useless. Is Adobe aware of this issue and, if so, what can I do - or more importantly Adobe, do to resolve the problem? Thanks and hope to hear from you soon! Ann Chown

Ann,

If you generate a PDF from the Book module, do the pages show missing there?

Yes - blurb asked me to do create a pdf which I did with exactly the same result; same names missing from the same images.

Thanks. That is a good clue for the engineers.

HI Ann,

We're sorry that photo text went missing from your magazine.
However, We need more details to understand the issue better.

What is the font type that's used for Photo text.
Does this happen with any other photos?
It'll be very helpful if you can share you catalog with us.

Thanks,
Bhargav

Hi Bhargav

Thanks for responding.

The font type I used was Trajan Pro 12.0pt with 75% opacity.

I have 76 pages in the magazine with photos on every page (sometimes four, sometimes one a page), most of them having Photo Text. Out of all of these, four photos had the photo Text missing when the book was printed, although it appears on my screen.

I can share my catalogue with you but need to know what you want. A screen shot and, if so, of the page(s) where the text is missing?

Thanks again
Ann

Hi again Bhargav

I also contacted The Lightroom Queen forum and a guy on there has been helping me with a workaround by changing the 'Title' in the Metadata to the name on the photo and then redoing the missing Photo Text. I've just done all of this (after contacting you above), printed a PDF and it seems to have worked. I don't know why it should (I leave that to you - although it would be good to know in case it happens in the future on other books!!!) but it has so I'm pleased.

I guess I'll go back to blurb now and see whether they can reprint.

Thanks for your help.

Mayuri - have you made any progress on identifying what the problem with my blurb book was?

Look forward to hearing.

Good morning! Is there any news on my question? Have you had time to look at my LR catalogue? An update would be much appreciated.
