Lightroom Classic 9.2.1: Crop tool behaviour issue (Mac)

In Develop mode, enable the Crop tool..  Resize the crop and then you can nudge the crop using the cursor keys..  standard behaviour and intuitive.

However, if you ROTATE the crop slightly, then use the cursor keys to shift the crop area, rather than move the crop, the size of the crop box changes - if the rotation angle is a negative number, then the box will shrink, or if the rotation angle is positive (greater than zero) then the size of the crop will enlarge - no matter which cursor key you press..  it's now impossible to nudge the crop box using the cursor keys...

Any idea why this behaviour would suddenly change when I leave the keyboard for a few minutes to make a coffee, and when I come back - the behaviour has returned to what it should be, and nudges the crop rather than scales it??  I haven't changed anything at all.

Maybe it took some time for your CPU cycles to catch up to the image as rotated? Rotating an image sounds pretty processor intensive.
