my latest version of LR Classic 8.1 has been running without problems - untill yesterday. when I opened it, it appeared to be a new version, showing all the improvement comments and instructions. Unfortunately, since then all my presets for Megadata and also the plugin LR ftp-upload have disappeared. While I was able to re-build the megadata IPTC-Plugin, I seem to be unable to re-install the ftp-upload plugin. simply can't find it anywhere on the net or at Adobe sights.... Can anyone help??? I need the ftp-plugin desperately for work

It’s a sample plugin in the Lr SDK

You have to download the WHOLE Lr SDK package and unzip it. It’s a sample inside the package. Google Lr SDK. That’s how I found it. The link is to the SDK Although I was signed into Adobe.

Sorry again: I finally got it. thanks so much. still don't understand, why Adobe is kind of hiding this Pluginn.

sorry, Robert, May be I am a total idiot, but so far I have always been able to download the complete plugin "ftp-upload" for LR which used to work straight away. but it is so odd not to find even a trace of that plugin. and the download of the SDK, which seems to be a real tool to programmers, doesn't seem to work at all. wherever I click. nothing works

That SDK downloads page is a bit iffy.  I had to use Chrome, needed to be logged in to Adobe.com, and had to first click on the CEP tile above the LR tile, then the LR tile before it started sequence of clicks to download the SDK ZIP file:

The plug-in appears to be in the SDK zip:

thanks for yr comments. I personally find it unusual that Adobe makes it so difficult to find and downlowed an important plug-in, and 2) even more difficult to understand how LR Classic would delete plugins without prior warning. looks like a bug.
