Lightroom CC: Not reading capture date in some video files correctly

Hey LR CC team. First of all, congrats on the new software. I may be in the minority, but I am really enjoying the new Lightroom.

My issue is when importing some video files (mostly non-camera phone videos), LR CC interprets the capture date incorrectly. For example, a video I made from 2013 shows the correct capture date in Windows Explorer and Photo Mechanic. But in LR CC, it shows the video was made in 1904. These are MP4 video files.

Thanks for your consideration. It would be great to be able to just change the dates in LR CC directly, but I would hope this bug could be resolved the right way.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for your feedback!

We haven't seen this happening with any of our videos. Would it be possible to share one of yours that has this problem so we can analyse it?

I had a similar issue with old video which probably don't have any metadata info store within.
I think that in this case LR CC takes the file creation date as capture date, isn't it?
Unfortunately that's always wrong, since the files are typically moved from phone/SD to computer.
