It should show up in the CC app - looks like they're just running a little behind.

How come all the other updates are ready (13 app updates) - but not the Lr CC?

Can you select "Check for App Updates" from the Creative Cloud desktop app?

I have run the check for updates, that is why is can see the new versions of everything - except the Lr CC.

Same here. It's not in the CC app, even after checking for updates several times.

At the top of the CC app, click your avatar and sign out. Then sign back in again and it should appear. It sometimes needs a nudge!

That worked. I had tried restarting the app earlier to no avail, but logging out and logging in did the trick.

Perhaps there is somehing in this Classic vs CC i do not get?

Lr Classic is a desktop app and is installed via the CC panel.
The Lr CC - does it have any desktop components? Does Lr CC install via the CC panel - or is it just an URL?

Yep, LR CC now has a desktop app. You could think of it as Lightroom mobile for desktops, as the feature set is pretty similar at this point. Start here: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/the-future-of-lightroom/

I have tried this too - and it did not make any difference.
Sleeping though did help - this morning the new Lr CC also appears in the CC panel.

Why does Lighroom CC require WIndows 10 and therefore can't be used on a Win 7 PC?

Because it uses OS-specific functionality that wasn't in Windows 7.
