Ok my profile trouble has widened after the LR updates today.

Now the profile for my phone thats active with the DNG files taken with it, is marked as missing for all photos taken with the phone in LR CC and Classic.

Problem is, I can't reinstall because I get the message it was skipped because its already there.

I got to the 2 folders:
\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles
\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom CC\Data\c8e327572e664675ac62b9224b9961ab\cr_cameraprofiles

Deleted the profile.dcp and the index.dat. Restarted the PC, still the same message, also the index.dat gets rewritten and in it my profile, thats not there, is mentioned.

How do I properly remove a profile that LR says is already gone, but not gone enough to re-import it?

Hi Donna,

Which version of Lightroom or Lightroom Classic you are using?
Could you also share the screenshot of the error that you are getting?
Could you share model details for your phone?

Could you also try uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom and Lightroom Classic?

The phone is the Huawai P30 Pro, that is now supported directly in the newest versions and the user made profile is obsolete, maybe thats' part of the problem.

But manually changing the profile for a lot of photos would be annoying.

Still, whats the proper way of removing a profile from Lightroom?

Dont want to uninstall everything right now..

Well actually it was easy, I just used the filter options to show all my phone taken dngs and then copied the development settings, to use the now working adobe standard profile (since the device is now officially supported). So no need for the old manual profile.
