Lightroom CC: Insufficient disk space for mirgration (even though there actually is enough space)

Hi

I'm trying to to migrate my Lightroom 6 catalog file to Lightroom CC. However during migration I get an error that there wouldn't be enough disk space – even though there actually is enough disk space available.

The migration wizard says it needs about 190 GB while there are over 250 GB available on the HDD. What's even weirder the numbers in the log file don't match up at all:

***************************(Fehlercode: INSUFFICIENT_SPACE_DISK)
***************************
Nicht genügend Speicher auf Datenträger: Erwartet 199234854628.1, verfügbar 120139517622

I'm using macOS 10.12.6. In my opinion it looks like that LR CC is unable to actually check the real free space on the HDD. Might be an issue with purgeable space in macOS 10.12.x

I now was able to migrate the catalog file. As it turns out it really is a bug in Lightroom CC. Apparently it doesn't include the purgeable space when checking for the required HDD space. After reducing purgeable space manually (basically creating a really big file and deleting it) the migration worked flawlessly.

Yes, I found that too. It may not be a problem with Lightroom, as I've seen reports in forums for other apps saying that Apple's implementation of purgeable space is flaky.
