My computer crashes completely when exporting RAW to Jpeg files. If I say I want to export 150 jpegs to a new file location on my computer, it will get to about halfway, then my computer will totally crash. I reboot and try again on the remainde, same happens, get halfway....crash! This has become very tedious and has, on occasion, been a total embarrassment. I need help Adobe asap.

My first thought is that something else is broken on your computer, or your Lightroom installation is broken in some way. Rather than trying to diagnose it, I would just reinstall everything. Installing a fresh system over an old is pretty easy and reliable for Macintosh, and I am sure you can find instructions for doing a fresh install of Lightroom for either Mac or Windows.

However, two things you might think about before doing this:

Try turning off all your Lightroom plugins first to eliminate that source of potential problems.

Ask yourself if you might be running out of RAM or disk space. If your computer has 4 GB of RAM, that might be a problem.

As above you have a Computer Hardware Problem. More than likely the computer is overheating which will cause it to Shut Down.

Please give your Mac the "once over"! Run the free Onyx (https://www.titanium-software.fr/en/o...), reboot. (In Onyx just run everything in the Automation tab). Run Disk Warrior if you can ($120), (https://www.alsoft.com), reboot. If you can’t do Disk Warrior, at least run First Aid from Disk Utility. Also just doing a "Safe Boot" can clear out caches (restart, hold down shift until you see "Safe Boot" on the screen, then reboot normally.

BTW “reinstall everything” is what Windows techs always suggest! We’re Mac people, we can figure it out (and save reinstall as a last resort!)

As the guy who first responded, I’ll tell you that
A) I have never used Windows
B) Reinstalling MacOS is cheaper ($0.00) and, I suspect, faster than Disk Warrior
C) A safe reboot followed by a normal reboot solves, exactly, nothing.

I stand by my advice, as a start, if, in fact, the OP is running MacOS.

How much free space is on the drive you're exporting to?

Hi Max,

We are not aware of such issue. I tried and unable to reproduce this issue. Can you please share your system info(Help-> System info...)?
What is the behaviour when you are trying to export 1 image?
