LR 6.2.1 silently fails to properly import dng from hdr function

After using the embedded hdr function to create an hdr of 3 raw files in LR6.2.1 the new dng fails to appear in the library. The dng is on disk and can be opened in Elements. Attempts to manually import it into LR are unsuccessful as the import wizard claims the dng file from the hdr function is already imported. Tried with two sets of raw files with the same result. Other hdr dngs have successfully completed in the past, including earlier today.

Change your LR Sort to Filename.

If your Sort is set to Filename then the HDR-DNG will be adjacent to the components assuming the output filename is left as the default which contains the base filename of one of the components.

If the Sort is set to a Added Order then the HDR-DNG will be at the rightmost end of the thumbnail strip.

I forget if Sort by Capture Date sorts with the components as if it has inherited the date from one of the components or if it sorts at the end because the HDR-DNG was just created.

Thanks, they do appear to be there, somehow the sort order was changed to custom, but I didn't knowingly alter it.
