running Lightroom 5 on PC with Windows 7.
Continually get the message:
Your disk "DATA I:", which contains your Lightroom catalog, is critically low on space.
Please remove files or empty the trash to make at least 20 MB available.
There is at least 700 GB available on this drive
How can I resolve this problem????

Is there another drive which is low on space? (e.g. 'C:')

Software sometimes assumes things.. (might have gotten the general problem description right, but not the specific drive).

The other possibility is that it got the drive correct but not the problem description - that might could happen if 'I:' drive does not have requisite permissions..

I assume you did try emptying the trash already.

thanks but every drive connected to my computer has at least 30% Free Space.
'C' drive has 56Gb free
other external drives have hundreds of GB free
any other ideas??

If 'I:' drive has (and other drives have) plenty of room, *and* requisite permissions, and you've tried emptying recycle bin, then no - I'm all out of ideas, unless one of your drives (e.g. 'I:') is beginning to fail. But I've seen this problem reported multiple times, so the solution may already be available if you can find it..

What haven't you told as about your I: drive (e.g. is it a network drive..).

Have you tried moving your catalog to another drive to see if it makes a difference?

PS - make sure you have real-time watchers disabled, e.g. CrashPlan, at least until you get this sorted..

The bottom line: it's almost certain that Lr is having a hard time writing to a disk for some reason, and is unfortunately reporting a misleading error message. So, look for things that could be causing a conflict/problem.. - sorry I've not been more help - good luck.

@Alan did you ever resolve this issue? I've been seeing the same message recently for a drive with over 1 TB available...

Are you running CrashPlan to backup your data to the cloud? I'm pretty sure that's what's causing it on my machine...

I'm actually looking for the Adobe bug tracking system to which I can report a problem, not a community forum. Lightroom is telling I have less than 20 MB free on a disk which has 318 GB free. Where is the bug tracking system?

Several times now, I have received the following shown in the picture. As you can see by the properties of my drive, I'm nowhere close to being out of space. Any idea what could be triggering this?
