LIGHTROOM/ACR - Love the dehaze slider, but would like to see it available on the brush tool to 'paint' in some fog.

Others have identified some problems with the dehaze slider, but on occasions, I would like to 'paint' in some fog or haze over a specific area.

I'd like to see it in the graduated filter to remove haze in the distance without ruining the foreground.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Request - Add ability to add dehaze selectively.

Apply Dehaze Selectively??
The new dehaze slider in Lightroom cc is very useful. Would be even better to be able to apply and feather to only a portion of the image, such as the top of an image with a far away focus point that may have more haze than the foreground due to added distance in the shot.

Otherwise when I use the dehaze globally it causes many other adjustments I don't want requiring additional edits and time.

I agree that dehaze is fairly useless without being implemented in the graduated filter.

What about using masks – as we old geeks did in ancient times – together with a brush and a decent flow ... ?
Not everything can be automated ... yet.

Some things are better in Photoshop, which is you have a Dehaze slider, now, you have a CC subscription and have PS.

Yes! Dehaze in the brush and grad filter would be so much more useful than as a global adjustment...
